Blood Bowl er et herligt brætspil, der på fornemste vis blander fantasy-genrens trolde, goblins og elvere med den populære sportsgren, amerikansk fodbold. Blood Bowl er dog som navnet antyder væsentlig mere blodigt og regelløst, men ideen er den samme; at bryde modstanderens forsvar og score. Her er fire billeder fra spillet:

    I 1987 fik Games Workshop en tanke: hvad laver orker, elvere og andet godtfolk egentlig, når de ikke bekriger hinanden? De spiller selvfølgelig en voldelig udgave af amerikansk fodbold. Dette blev til et brætspil ved navn Blood Bowl. Et spil hvor rullende hoveder var ligeså sædvanligt som en fumble. Og sådan spildte Lee West oceaner af timer med et nørdet smil på læberne ;)
