The Guangzhou Charge is overhauling its roster

Three players and a coach have left, and three players have joined.
Ben Lyons Senior Editor 12 juli 2022

The Guangzhou Charge is having a truly awful season in the Overwatch League so far this year, and is sitting dead last in the East division with a 1-11, a record that is so poor when also considering map win/loss differential, sees the team ranked as the second worst team in the entire league - just ahead of the winless Vancouver Titans, and slightly behind the 1-11 Paris Eternal and New York Excelsior.

Needless to say, the team needs a pretty big change to be able to alter the fate of its season, and that is precisely what it has done, as the Charge has released three players and a coach, and signed three new players.

The players leaving are Yoo "Unique" Dong-hyun, Chae "Develop" Rak-hoon, and Oh "Rio" Seung-pyo, and the coach is assistant coach, Jin "YOUNGJIN" Young-Jin. As for who is coming to the team in their wake, that will be Li "Xerneas" Xianyao, Lei "Jimmy" Yujia, and Li "Apr1ta" Yuanjinghao.

The Charge has provided individual statements thanking each leaving member for their time at the Charge, and has also stated that the newly signed individuals will be slotted into the team when the Summer Showdown starts in around a month's time.
