Rocket League Championship Series lowers age requirement to 13

Safe to say, fans are divided over this change.

Rocket League has lowered the age requirement to participate in its Championship Series to 13. Previously, the age to participate was 15, which still is the youngest age threshold in major eSports.

Fans and commentators are divided over this change, with some believing it'll allow for younger players to follow their dreams and build up their skill, but they're hoping it doesn't open up the gateway for other behaviours.

Jérôme Coupez, the CEO of Prodigy Agency summed it up pretty well, saying that 13 is too young for players to be able to legally sign a contract with a team or be the recipient of a cash prize, which could allow for some teams to abuse this later down the line.
