Nu hvor Grand Theft Auto V er udkommet på den nye konsolgeneration, har Rockstar åbnet for at man kan overføre sin GTA Online-konto fra ens gamle konsol. På den måde kan man beholde alle sine optjente penge, biler, fast ejendom og så videre. Desværre går processen ikke helt problemfrit.
Hvis man ikke har spillet GTA Online siden 2013, lader det til at processen ikke virker, og systemet giver en fejlmeddelelse:
"No previous Grand theft Auto Online data is associated with your Social Club account."
På Rockstars support-sider forklarer udgiveren:
"We are urgently looking into an issue preventing character transfer and GTA Online login on accounts that haven't played GTA Online since 2013. If you would like to receive an automatic email notification as soon as there is more information, please log into the Support Site and click Subscribe at the top of this page. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, and thanks for your patience."
