IEM Oakland had a lot of intense action all round, and AnyKey also used this event to host a charity match between two of the best women's CS:GO teams around: Counter Logic Gaming Red and Team Secret. The winner would receive $10,000 US dollars to donate to a charity of their choice, and the charities involved with the event were AbleGamers, Extra Life and Online SOS.
CLG Red's newest member, Klaudia "klaudia" Bexczkiewicz, put in an impressive performance on the newly updated map Inferno, and the team took a lead over Team Secret relatively early on. Christine "potter" Chi had nine kills without a death at once point, and despite wobbling a little, CLG Red won the match 16-6, donating their money to Online SOS.
CLG Red said they chose Online SOS because they are "against cyber bullying, and we think it's important [to support this] because we are women online, which can be difficult." In a field so dominated by men a lot of the time, it was not only nice to see a match played for a good cause, but it was also nice to see female gamers being applauded for their talent.
