Splyce departs from CS:GO esports

CEO Marty Strenczewilk has revealed the reasoning on the decision.
Sam Bishop 30 april 2018

While CS:GO is a huge esport and lots of organisations are finding success there, this isn't true for everyone, and now Splyce CEO Marty Strenczewilk has taken to Twitter to explain that Splyce has left competitive CS:GO, as well as the reasons for doing so, as part of a video that gives the ins and outs for the decision.

In the video he explains that in CS:GO Splyce aren't the competitive level they want to be - such as in other areas like Halo, where they recently became World Champions - and that negotiations with the EU League of Legends Championship Series (which is in the process of franchising) are taking up a lot of time too. Given the less-than-ideal results, then, as well as the resources needed to keep continuing, this is part of the reason the decision was made to leave the ecosystem.

In more Splyce-related news, they've also just received a huge investment from The Ledger Group, which you can read more about here.

Will you miss Splyce's CS:GO team? Do you agree with the decision?
