Young Swedish Fortnite player Bogdan passed away last week while he was visiting San Jose, California, for the Fall Skirmish finals at TwitchCon. He died sometime during the night between October 28 and October 29. He was just 21-years-old.
G2 Esports' Dominik "RazZzero0o" Beckmann, who travelled with him for the event, discovered his body in the morning and explained what happened in more detail here, adding that he waited this long to write about it out of respect for Bogdan's family.
The pair were seemingly under intense pressure, but together they had managed to finished 18th and in the process had secured enough funds to pay for their trip to America.
Bogdan was well-liked by his friends and heartfelt tributes have been pouring in. There's a Change.org petition to add a "Back To Lobby" emote into Fortnite, a phrase he liked to say when he defeated an opponent while playing the game he loved.
