Den franske gigant Ubisoft er om sig i øjeblikket - ikke mindst på licensmarkedet, hvor firmaet netop har lukket to aftaler med Sony Pictures om at lave spil bygget på filmstudiets kommende børnefilm Open Season og Surf’s Up.
Yves Guillemot sagde følgende ved annonceringen:
"The slate of films from Sony Pictures Animation offers tremendous opportunities to develop truly unique and entertaining games. Ubisoft's long-term agreement with Sony Pictures allows us to be part of the creative process from the very beginning, working closely with the animators and directors on the vision and tone of the games."
Open Season har premiere i september 2006 i USA, mens Surf’s Up forventes på gaden i år 2007. Begge spillicenser varetages af Ubisofts Montreal studie.
