Som lovet slap Kojima Productions en over otte minutter lang trailer her til aften, der langt om længe viser mere gameplay fra det kommende Death Stranding. Traileren viser både gameplay, mellemscener og giver os desuden lidt flere konkrete glimt af historien.
Spillet lader til at tage udgspunkt i tidsrejser, krydset med invaderende aliens. Det er i hvert fald op til hovedperson Sam Bridges at genopbygge USA.
Det sker ved at udforske, ved at bringe ting og sager fra A til B. Det lyder ret vagt, men traileren går ikke i mere direkte detaljer end det.
Desuden bekræfter traileren at spillet faktisk udkommer d. 8 november. Her til sidst har Hideo Kojima udgivet følgende meddelelse:
"People have created 'Walls' and become accustomed to living in isolation.
"Death Stranding is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the 'Strand' or connection.
"As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or 'Strands' with other players around the globe. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you'll come to understand the true importance of forging connections with others.
