Bulkhead Interactive og Square Enix har afsløret, at Battalion 1944 for alvor nu bevæger sig ind i eSport med en fire dage lang konkurrence senere på året, hvor hele $50.000 bliver sat på højkant.
Derudover vil en gigantisk opdatering lande d. 12 juni, der opdaterer spillets Competitive Mode, der også går under navnet Wartide 2.0. Der tilføjes en ny bane kaldet Savoia, der er en ny BattleRank Season, hvor XP kan låse op for nye kostumer.
Turneringen hedder Blitzkrieg Major Tournament, og foregår fra d. 27 til d. 30 september.
