Vi fik en snak med executive producer Hamilton Chu og senior game designer Mike Donais, for at høre mere om The Grand Tournament-udvidelsen til Hearthstone, og om deres tanker angående meta-spillets udvikling.
"If there's a lot of decks that have very cheap minions then the jousting decks will appear to counter them," forklarede Donais. "Jousting decks will naturally be very good against them and they're sometimes very popular like the Hunter Rush or the Warlock Rush decks. If those jousting decks get popular then the control decks with like expensive dragons or something elser like really expensive control minions will show up to counter the jousting decks and then it's sort of a loop. It goes full circle again and that's a really healthy part of any card game to have that meta game loop."
Samtalen kom også ind på eSport, warcraft-historien (og hvordan Hearthstone nu bidrager i større grad til denne), og de to udvikleres favoritter blandt det nye sæt kort.
"Mine is probably Tuskarr Jouster... I love the card cause it was a walrus riding a turtle and I'm the kind of player who play it because of that," fortalte Hamilton Chu.
