ESA anslår at flere spilprodukter vil blive påvirket af tariffer

Nintendo har sat forudbestillinger af Switch 2 på pause i USA mens de forsøger at finde ud af hvad de skal stille op med det hav af tariffer placeret på andre lande af Trump-administrationen. Men en talsperson for brancheforeningen ESA mener at dette kun er begyndelsen.

I et interview med IGN siger ESA-talsperson Aubrey Quinn at vi skal forvente at flere produkter snart påvirkes af tarifferne:

"It's been interesting with media coverage around video games and tariffs because just unfortunate coincidental timing that the Switch [2 reveal] was the same day as [the tariff's] announcement. There are so many devices we play video games on. There are other consoles, but as I was saying, VR headsets, our smartphones, people who love PC games, if we think it's just the Switch, then we aren't taking it seriously. This is going to have an impact."

Indtil videre er der ingen større spilvirksomheder der officielt har hævet deres priser.
