ESL Gaming has announced that it is working with the parent company of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, KRAFTON, to bring a couple of new series to the competitive PUBG scene. The ESL PUBG Masters and PUBG Open will be a bunch of events starting as soon as April that will be offering a $50,000 and $2,000 prize pool respectively.

There will be four ESL PUBG Masters tournaments over the year split between Europe and North America, and each event will even reward PUBG Championship Qualification Points. The first phase for the event is set to begin on April 7, with the Grand Finals set for late April-early May. You can take a look at the Europe format for the series below.

In terms of the PUBG Open, there will be three tournaments over the year. The summer event will take place in June/July, the fall event is planned for September, and the winter event is set for November. While these events are open to anyone, the top competitors at the summer PUBG Open will be rewarded with an invitation to the ESL PUBG Masters tournament. The specific dates for the tournaments are set to be revealed closer to the events.
