The official Twitter account for the Evo fighting game tournament series has revealed that Evo Japan is coming back next year, and will be taking place in Fukuoka, Japan, between February 15 and 17, with more details due to be released at the main event in North America in August.
People were quick to respond and point out the sizeable distance between Fukoaka and Tokyo, but Evo's account responded by saying: "It's a bit further out, but trust us, the new location & plans will be worth it! We're here to assist if you have any travel inquiries."
Even Evo's Mark Julio added: "We are well aware of the distance/travel and will do our best to keep awareness and planning as a priority for those interested in attending the event. There are good reasons why we chose the city of Fukuoka — more details next month!"
