Netflix har på det seneste annonceret en masse nyheder og information, herunder et første glimt af deres ambitiøse udgave af John Steinbecks legendariske roman, East of Eden.
East of Eden, der får premiere på streamingplatformen på en ubestemt dato til efteråret, er en historie, der følger karakteren Cathy Ames og Trask-familiens liv, mens deres veje krydses over flere årtier i det 19.- og 20. århundredes Nordamerika. Historiens hovedfokus er Cathy, denne gang spillet af Florence Pugh, som søger at finde sin plads i en verden med hurtigt skiftende sociale paradigmer og Californiens blomstrende industri.
Designet som en miniserie på syv afsnit, vil East of Eden også have Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist, Hoon Lee, Tracy Letts, Martha Plimpton, Ciaran Hinds, Joseph Zada og Joe Anders på rollelisten. Serien ledes af showrunner Zoe Kazan og Joe Stuart og der er planer om en premiere til efteråret.

"The series spans decades in the lives of Cathy and the Trask family, and is bookended by the American Civil War and World War I.
