The esports organisation Complexity Gaming has announced that it has been acquired by GameSquare Esports Inc. The deal that is expected to be valued at $27 million (as The Esports Insider reports), will see Complexity join GameSquare's portfolio of teams and organisations in the esports industry.

The acquisition is set to also see GameSquare use its relationships with AAA publishers and global brands to further grow Complexity's brand, using content creation and merchandising as another method to build on the esports team's legacy in the industry.

As part of the acquisition, Complexity's eight teams across a variety of games, and its headquarters in Texas, US will remain untouched, and the organisation will continue to compete and operate with Jason Lake remaining as the CEO. Likewise, Complexity's current ownership group is expected to be continually involved in the team and in GameSquare.

Also revealed in the announcement was that GameSquare will become an agency of record for the Dallas Cowboys NFL franchise, and that this deal is regarded as a multi-year partnership for the Cowboys esports and gaming business.
