The David Beckham-backed, London-based esports organisation, Guild Esports has announced that it has signed its largest sponsorship to date. The deal, which is said in a press release to be three years in length, is regarded as one of the biggest deals in European esports, and will see Sky known as the official premier partner for Guild going forward.
The deal will also see Sky getting the naming rights for Guild's Shoreditch-based headquarters (now known as the Sky Guild Gaming Centre), and likewise the telecommunications company will be the official HQ, official Wi-Fi, and official network provider for Guild from now on.
"It's great that Guild Esports has a fantastic new partner in Sky and I'm pleased to welcome them to the Guild family," said David Beckham.
Sky logos will also appear on Guild's jerseys, and with this support from Sky, the organisation will be looking to launch a women's Rocket League roster in the near future.
There is no mention as to how much exactly the deal clocked in at, but we are told that it will be paid exclusively in cash instalments.
