Helsinki Reds drop three Overwatch players from their team

Results haven't been as good as expected.
Sam Bishop 8 august 2017

Back in November we reported that Finnish hockey club IFK Helsinki had created an Overwatch side by the name of Helsinki Reds, however, a recent post on their website reveals that things aren't going quite so well there, and that three players have been dropped from the side.

The three players that have left the side are Roope 'Ruape' Kurkela, Ville 'prettyWise' Mikkonen, and Miika 'BBR' Tekoniemi, and here's what team manager Christer Kasurinen had to say about the reasons behind the decision: "Our Overwatch team has not made significant progress during the past months and results have not been what we aim for. For this reason we have decided to part ways with three players."

He did add, however, that it was a difficult choice since these players had been with the organisation since the start, but that they need success as a team and this can only come from making changes. As for who will be recruited, though, this wasn't announced, but the additions will be made in the "next weeks."

Do you think the changes needed to happen?
