I My Nintendo News kan man denne gang få en undskyldning fra Nintendo-bossen Iwata. Årsagen er, at nye Wii U-ejere kan se frem til en heftig og muligvis langsommelig opdatering af konsollen, inden de kaster sig frådende over de nye spil.
Amerikanske brugere har klaget over at opdateringen tager op mod fem timer at hente. Så når du i morgen henter din Wii U, kan du altså roligt sætte kaffe over, mens du kigger på emballagen.
"Personally I think that users should be able to use all the functions of a console video game machine as soon as they open the box. So I feel very sorry for the fact that purchasers of Wii U have to experience a network update which takes such a long time, and that there are the services which were not available at the hardware's launch."
