Firmaet JoWood der bl.a. står bag spil som Cultures 2 og Industry Giant, har meldt sit indtog i Norden. På den danske front er det blevet Hans. F.O. Ginderskov der skal stå for formidlingen og derfor har firmaet udsendt en pressemeddelelse.
JoWooD Productions Software AG is now targeting the Nordic region, and has begun a number of negotiations with local distributors in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
In the few years since it was founded in 1995, JoWooD has established itself as one of the leading brands for high-quality games with mass market potential. In addition, JoWooD plans to position itself as a leading supplier of online games. The expected growth in sales will stem both from stepping up new in-house production and from converting existing games to console platforms.
"The Nordic region is important to our continued expansion strategy. On a European level the region is amongst the four largest markets in Europe concerning PC titles, and the seventh largest market concerning console games. To us the region is very important and we will shortly be announcing our choice of Nordic distributors", says Wilhelm Hamrozi, COO (Chief Operating Officer) of JoWooD Productions.
JoWooD Productions has appointed Hans F. O. Ginderskov the title of Nordic PR-Manager. Hans is an experienced profile in the industry and has held the position as Editor-In-Chief of several games and multimedia magazines in the region. In addition to this, Hans has also been working for companies such as Commodore and Creative Labs Nordic, while at the same time being the founder and exclusive owner of industry PR-agency, United Coders. Hans F. O. Ginderskov will be fully responsible for all PR activities concerning all JoWooD Productions and Fishtank Interactive titles, and will work closely together with the local distributors to establish the JoWooD brand and games in the region.
