Kendt analytiker kalder Concord-skandalen "unprecedented" og måske sågar "unsalvageable"

Concord er nu blevet taget helt aldeles offline, og der findes ikke nogen konkret plan om at relancere spillet. Alt dette skete på knapt to uger, og flere analyser peger på at der er blevet solgt under 25.000 eksemplarer.

Flere har sammenlignet det med blandt andet Anthem, men spørger du den erfarne analytiker Mat Piscatella fra Circana (tidligere NPD) så er der ikke rigtig noget sammenligningsgrundlag. Via BlueSky beskriver han det hele således:

"What's happening with Concord is unprecedented. I'm seeing folks pointing to Anthem as a comp, and... no. Anthem was the best-selling game of its Feb 2019 launch month, and was the 15th best-selling game of that year, and can still be played today."

Så hvad er chancen for at spillet klarere den som en comeback-titel? Piscatella er ret skeptisk, men siger at det kan gå begge veje:

"On the one hand, the game and the IP were just so soundly rejected of it that one may think it unsalvageable. On the other hand, so few know about the game that perhaps it could be brought back with a different model and a significant refresh. I think this is an unprecedented situation, with all options on the table, so anyone's guess is probably as good as mine."
