Matt Reeves afslører hvad det ville kræve at få hans Batman med i DCU

Matt Reeves' Batman-univers er dunkelt, dystert, gotisk og mørkt, og derfor stemmer det ikke umiddelbart tonemæssigt over med James Gunns lidt mere farverige og fjollede DCU, et univers der snart for alvor sparkes igang med Superman.

Gunn har allerede et Batman-projekt i gang, og Reeves' Batman har fået lov til at leve separat, men fans diskuterer stadig om hvorvidt det ikke alligevel på sigt ville give mening at lade Robert Pattinson indtage rollen som DCU's faste Batman. I et interview med Josh Horowitz ved Golden Globes siger Reeves hvad dette ville kræve:

"It really comes down to whether or not it makes sense. There was a story I wanted to tell, we're calling it the epic crime saga and all of that, which is the thrust of what we wanted to do, and it's been important to me to be able to play that out. What the future brings, I can't really tell you, I have no idea right now, except that my head is down now about getting The Batman 2 shooting and to make it something really special, which of course it's the most important thing."
