Hvert eneste år afholder Gamescom en slags prisuddeling, der lader til udelukkende at være markedsføring af de pågældende spil, eftersom ingen jury har spillet dem. Men det kræver dog at de har en tilstedeværelse ved selve showet, og her kan én nominering give os lidt af et hint.
For dette års nomineringer er netop blevet offentliggjort, og er FromSoftwares Elden Ring nomineret i adskillige kategorier. Spillet er en del af Best Xbox Game, Best PC Game og Best PlayStation Game, og det er sammen med spil vi ved vil have en tilstedeværelse, såsom Far Cry 6 og The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes.
