Studiet Slightly Mads historie har været præcis som navnet foreskriver. De arbejdede på et tidspunkt på deres helt egen konsol, for så at aflyse den, og så blive købt af EA igennem den store Codemasters-handel.
Alt det leder os til i dag, hvor CEO og stifter Ian Bell har valgt at trække sig helt fra Slightly Mad. I en meddelelse til GamesIndustry bekræfter han sin afsked, og siger følgende:
"After more than a decade in the driving seat of Slightly Mad Studios, today we are sad to announce that Ian Bell will be leaving his role at SMS and Electronic Arts. As CEO of Slightly Mad Studios, Ian was a visionary and an innovator, pioneering not only a new era in racing simulation but also reimagining how games are funded and produced. We wish Ian the best as he moves on and thank him for his contribution to EA, Codemasters, SMS, and the wider industry."
Præcis hvad Bell nu skal vides ikke, og det vides heller ikke hvad Slightly Mad arbejder dog, do antager vi at det er et nyt Project CARS.
