Der er endnu ingen grund til at tro at Microsofts køb af Activision Blizzard vil blive blokeret, men naturligvis er det vigtigt for virksomheden at være ærlige overfor deres investorer, og fortælle lidt om hvordan virkeligheden vil se ud, hvis uheldet ender med at være ude.
I et nyt dokument henvendt til netop investorer fortæller Activision Blizzard-ledelsen, at skulle Microsoft-handlen ende med at blive blokeret, eller aflyst på anden vis, så vil det få en gigantisk effekt på aktieprisen:
"If the merger is not consummated, and depending on the circumstances that caused the merger not to be consummated, it is likely that the price of Activision Blizzard common stock will decline significantly. If that were to occur, it is uncertain when, if ever, the price of Activision Blizzard common stock would return to the price at which it trades as of the date of this proxy statement."
Dette dokument sendes blandt andet ud fordi investorerne skal stemme officielt om købstilbuddet d. 28 april. Det forventes dog at samtlige vil stemme for.
