Xbox-chef kalder Activision Blizzard-handel "fair" fordi PlayStation har langt flere eksklusiver

Sony har 286 eksklusive titler overfor Xbox' 59.

Microsoft er så småt begyndt at skubbe mere direkte tilbage imod Sonys anklager omkring den kommende Activision Blizzard-handel. Mange har påpeget hvordan Sony selv benytter sig flittigt af de praksisser de siger handlen vil muliggøre for Microsoft, og det lader da også til at være den vinkel Microsoft-præsident Brad Smith vælger her.

I en rapport ovre hos Bloomberg fortæller Smith under et møde med deres investorer, at den her aftale er fair, fordi Sony selv udgiver langt flere eksklusiver:

"The FTC's case is really based on a market that they've identified that they say has two companies and two products, Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox. If you look at the global market, Sony has 70% of that market, and we have 30%. So the first thing a judge is going to have to decide is whether the FTC lawsuit is a case that will promote competition or is it really instead of case that will protect the largest competitor from competition."

Smith noterer desuden hvordan PlayStation har 286 eksklusive titler, og Xbox har 59:

"So the administrative law judge is going to have to decide whether going from 59 to 60 is such a danger to competition that he should stop this from moving forward."
