De to forsøg der tidligere har været på at filmatisere Silent Hill-universet har ikke været nogen bragende succeser - tværtimod. Men nu forsøger Konami og den samme instruktør bag den første film, Christophe Gans, en gang til.
Vi har vidst i noget tid at Gans og kompagni har arbejdet på en ny Silent Hill-film, denne gang helt og holdent baseret på Silent Hill 2-spillet, og nu går den altså snart i produktion. Gamespot kan bekræfte at det sker i april med et cast bestående af Emily Anderson og Jeremy Irvine.
"Return to Silent Hill is a mythological love story about someone so deeply in love, they're willing to go to hell to save someone. I'm delighted to have the wonderful talents of both Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Anderson take us on this journey into a psychological horror world that I hope will both satisfy and surprise fans of Silent Hill," siger Gans om filmen.
