Det er ikke noget nyt at konstant populære spil sætter større og større rekorder, men Candy Crush eksisterer nærmest i en sfære for sig. Det bliver 11 år i dag, og i den forbindelse har studiet bag ramt en ret så vild milepæl - det er blevet downloadet over tre milliarder gange.
Dette er blevet afsløret via MobileGamer.biz, hvor Candy Crush-chef Todd Green deler endnu flere sjove fakta om spillets formåen på markedet.
Han siger blandt andet at spillet har 233 millioner månedlige aktive brugere. Desuden siger han følgende om udsigten til at blive købt af Microsoft:
"We continue to focus on King and our business, but what I can say is that King is excited about the possibilities the merger could bring. Microsoft has said that an important part of the deal is their ability to expand into the mobile space. We're thrilled that King could be a part of that potential future although we continue to operate as two separate companies for now."
