Vi ved endnu ikke hvor lang tid det vil tage det panel der skal tage stilling til CMA's blokering af Microsofts køb af Activision Blizzard, men vi ved dog nu hvornår Microsofts appel officielt tages op til efterretning og diskussion.
Som VGC skriver har dommer Marcus Smith nu planlagt at høringer i sagen skal begynde d. 24 og 31. juli, men hvor længe disse skal køre vides dog ikke. Vi ved dog at panelet som regel sætter godt og vel ni måneder af til en afgørelse:
"The hearing of the substance of this application will take place in the fortnight commencing July 24, so the weeks commencing the 24th and 31st of July. I'm not expecting it to take the whole of those 10 days but I would like the parties to err on the side of longer rather than shorter oral submissions. It seems to me that that is an excess that we can afford.
Faktisk har CMA forsøgt at skubbe sagen længere ud i fremtiden for at få mere tid til at forberede deres sag, det fremgår også hos VGC:
"While Microsoft told the judge it wanted the hearings to take place as soon as possible, the CMA had been pushing for a later date to give it more time to prepare its case".
