Lige nu er der en større sag igang imellem amerikanske FTC, Microsoft, Bethesda og Activision Blizzard, der skal afgører hvordan amerikanske lovgivere forholder sig til handlen i sidste ende.
I den forbindelse har FTC blandt andet afhørt PlayStation-chef Jim Ryan, og Axios' Stephen Totilo har faktisk fået fat i et dokument fra denne afhøring, hvor Ryan slår fast at Sony ikke vil dele kritisk platforminformation om PlayStation 6 med Activision Blizzard, skulle handlen være igennem, og uagtet om deres spil udkommer på PlayStation 6.
"We simply could not run the risk of a company that was owned by a direct competitor having access to that information. I believe that their incentives — their primary incentive will, at post-acquisition, would be to optimise its overall Xbox business, not the business of Activision."
Dermed opstår der naturligvis en risiko for at PS6-specifikke features implementeres i Activision Blizzard-titler, men det er så kun hvis handlen gennemføres.
