Gamescom fik endnu en af de større annonceringer i dag, da Ubisoft meldte ud, at de vil gå i kamp med Origin og Steam. Om ikke andet kunne spilgiganten fortælle at de er på vej med Uplay, som vil være en central hub, hvor spillere kan købe og spille spil.
"Uplay PC is a great way for customers to discover Ubisoft's games, connect with their friends and gaming communities, and win achievements and content that's not available anywhere else." udtalte Ubisofts Stephanie Perotti.
Det interessante er dog at der efter planen vil være spil til priser fra en flad tier. Blandt andre:
Driver: San Francisco, From Dust, Silent Hunter 5 og Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2. Anno 2070, Assassin's Creed II (plus Brotherhood og Revelations), Might & Magic: Heroes VI samt Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction ender med en rabat på 75%.
