Det kan være svært at finde ud af præcis hvem fra Square Enix der har udviklet hvad til tider, fordi de benytter sig af en langt mere flydende model hvor der ikke er tale om klart opdelte studier men hold der samles og opløses igen alt efter hvad der er brug for.
Men alligevel håber at en af instruktørerne bag spillet, Naoki Hamaguchi, at netop det hold der har udviklet Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth (og Remake) at de får lov til at blive sammen, fordi de ligesom har fat i noget:
"Definitely, that would be wonderful. I do think that the sort of current team dynamics within the team that created Rebirth is really great and I think the overall sentiment and feeling within the team is really absolutely wonderful right now as well, especially with this wonderful score reveal. People are in really high spirits, they respond to the global reception of the work that we have created. In that way I do really hope to continue to foster this type of environment and grow together with the team in creating these types of works that garner that type of reception, in hopes that they will continue to want to work together."
Det forventes at det er det samme hold der skal levere den tredje og sidste del af Remake-trilogien, men hvad der skal ske derefter vides ikke.
