I forbindelse med 30 året for udgivelsen af det første The King of Fighters, har SNK Corporation stiftet KOF Studio, som skal føre både The King of Fighters og SNK's andre klassiske kampspil sikkert ind i fremtiden.

SNK står bag klassiske kampspil og action-rollespil som Fatal Futy, Samurai Shodown og altså The King of Fighters, hvor sidstnævnte udkom for første gang i 1994. I øjeblikket arbejder SNK på Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves og et nyt Samurai Shodown action-rollespil.
