En af Gamestop-koncernens chefer, Michael Hogan, fortalte for nyligt til finansanalytikere, at Sonys PlayStation 4 vil komme i handlen over hele verden i år. Mens "hele verden" i denne sammenhæng næppe inkluderer lande som Kiribati, Tuvalu eller Vanuatu, så burde det dog dække Europa.
"We know that Sony will introduce the Playstation 4 globally in 2013, but we are still waiting to see what Microsoft's final plans are", siger Hogan ifølge Sixth Axis.
En anden Gamestop-profil, Robert Loyd, er også entusiastisk: "With Grand Theft Auto V and Battlefield 4 releasing in the third quarter, and the PlayStation 4 launching in the fourth quarter, we expect a return to growth for the back half of the year."
Sony selv har stadig ikke afsløret nogen nærmere detaljer om udgivelsen af PlayStation 4, men som en af verdens største spilforhandlere burde GameStop have en eller anden fornemmelse for Sonys planer.
