James Gunn har annonceret, at han arbejder på det, han kalder Superman Saga, og han har allerede taget store skridt mod at udvikle den næste film.
Til The Hollywood Reporter ved premieren på Peacemaker fortalte Gunn, at han forhåbentlig går i produktion relativt snart. "I've already finished the treatment for the next story in what I'll call the Superman Saga. The treatment is done, which means a very, very worked out treatment. I'm working on that and hopefully going into production on that not too far away from today,"sagde han.
Superman blev først udgivet i juli, men det ser ud til, at Gunn ikke spilder tid på at udvikle den næste historie som central platform for hans DCU. Lige nu er næste fokus Peacemaker, som Gunn også nævnte har direkte forbindelse til Superman og andre DCU-projekter.
"It's a big part, definitely Superman leads directly into Peacemaker; it should be noted that this is for adults, not for children, but Superman leads into this show and then we have the setting up of all of the rest of the DCU in this season of Peacemaker, it's incredibly important," tilføjede han.
Peacemaker sæson 2 har premiere den 21. august.
