"Assassin's Creed-serien er stadig relevant"

Mange af Assassin's Creed-seriens fans har udtrykt utilfredshed med at der dukker et nyt spil op hvert år, og mener at Ubisoft ikke burde malke varemærket. Jean Guesdon, creative director på Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, mener dog at serien stadig er relevant, og at det retfærdiggør årlige udgivelser.

"I think we have proven that this franchise is relevant, and that it has a long way to go. Our job as developers of this new opus is to surprise players and bringing fresh, different ideas, while at the same time ensuring that what makes AC such a stand-out franchise remains intact", siger han til OXM.

"With the scale and scope of the world we are building, the completely new setting, the new gameplay mechanics, and our new characters (both our hero and his supporting cast), we are definitely on track to get the job done and avoid fatigue altogether".

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag er bekræftet til PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U og Xbox 360. Spillet udkommer 31. oktober i år.
