Forleden blev Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP til Nintendo Switch 2 udsat uden en ny dato "due to the need for significant updates" - både til den kommende Nintendo Switch 2 udgave, men også til den allerede udgivne Nintendo Switch version.
Nu har japanske Dragami Games dog annonceret, at spillet kommer til Nintendo Switch 2 den 28. maj og skriver i en "notice and apology":
The title was originally scheduled for release on March 26, 2026. However, in addition to ongoing development for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, we have determined that significant revisions are also required for the currently available Nintendo Switch version. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the release to May 28, 2026.
We sincerely apologize for the significant inconvenience caused to everyone who has been looking forward to the game's release and upcoming updates.

Hvis man allerede ejer spillet til Nintendo Switch, vil man kunne opgradere via en "Upgrade Pack" til Nintendo Switch 2 udgaven for omkring 65 kroner.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP er en remake af det originale Lollipop Chainsaw fra 2012 og det er allerede ude på Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch og PC.
