Game of Thrones-forløberen House of the Dragon går ind i sin tredje sæson i slutningen af juni, og de næste afsnit forventes at indeholde store slag og episke familiesammenstød, mens vi dykker ned i Targaryen-borgerkrigen, som serien er baseret på. Showrunner Ryan Condal ved, at fans har ventet på nogle nøgleøjeblikke, og dem får de i sæson 3.
Condal ønsker at give store slag retfærdighed og har sagt, at Battle of the Gullet måske er "arguably the craziest episode of TV ever made." Vi kan forvente "dragons and ships and multiple theatres of conflict" i slaget, da det ser ud til at være Game of Thrones-versionen af Helm's Deep, ifølge Condal.
House of the Dragon stjernen Ewan Mitchell siger, at der ikke er meget plads til andet end kamp denne sæson. "It's all-out war. It's just a blitz straight out of the gate," sagde han til Entertainment Weekly. Emma D'Arcy, skuespilleren der spiller Rhaenyra Targaryen, er enig i Mitchells udtalelse. "We're finally watching a war that has been building for two seasons.... I'm so impressed by Ryan and the team, because it's to really hold your nerve to stage a conflict that has been, until now, primarily interpersonal, interfamily — and then [to] finally, in one huge gesture, allow that conflict to unleash on the realm as a whole, I think is some very classy plotting,".
