Eidos Montreal lagde i går aftes et blogindlæg op på deres webside med navnet Future Vision for Deus Ex. Her fastslår studiechef David Anfossi udviklerens planer for Deus Ex-serien. Om Deus Ex Universe står der blandt andet:
"...an ongoing, expanding and connected game world built across a generation of core games" and he also confirmed a next-gen Deus Ex title that's in the works."
Navnet Deus Ex Universe er ikke titlen på et spil, men i stedet paraplynavnet for alle Deus Ex-produkter. Anfossi skriver videre:
"Deus Ex: Universe will include PC and console games, but also additional Deus Ex games and experiences available in other media such as tablets, smartphones, books, graphic novels, etc."
Anfossi slutter af med for første gang at nævne, at Deus Ex er på vej til næste konsolgeneration, og byder endda på et billede:
"I want to leave you with a piece of concept art from our next-gen Deus Ex game that shows trans-humanism segregation, which is a backdrop to our vision for the next Deus Ex. It represents a "ghetto-city' voluntarily built in order to separate the classes. The people in this segregated class have reshaped their environment, nostalgic for their ideal of Cyber Renaissance. This dark and dystopian vision sets the tone for things to come in Deus Ex."
Det seneste kapitel i Deus Ex-serien, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, udkommer i øvrigt i en Director's Cut-udgave til PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U og Xbox 360 den 25. oktober.
