Steam Broadcasting udgivet i seneste opdatering

I den seneste opdatering til Steam-klienten, er den nye Steam Broadcast-funktion inkluderet. Ved hjælp af denne, kan man anmode om at se med når ens venner spiller, så længe anmodningen vel at mærke accepteres.

For at komme i gang, skal man ganske enkelt bare finde en ven på sin venneliste, der er i gang med at spille et spil, og vælge "Watch Game" fra drop down-menuen. Så snart anmodningen accepteres af spilleren, kan man bare læne sig tilbage og se med, og selvfølgelig også komme med opmuntrende (eller hånende) ord, gennem Steams eget chat-system.

In-Home Streaming
Fixed severe frame drop in OpenGL games that occasionally occurred on some hardware
Reduced impact on game frame rate in D3D9c games when not using hardware acceleration

Linux
Fixed a rare bug where Steam could delete user files when failing to start

SteamOS
Fixed some combo boxes in steam client settings accepting text input when selection must be made from dropdown
