DayZ vender tilbage til Esports-verdenen. Den kommende begivenhed, kaldet Survivor Gamez, er inspireret af kampene i de kendte Hunger Games-fortællinger. I DayZ sker det ved at sætte en stor mængde hold bestående af to spillere på hver mod hinanden for overlevelse.
Der vil i første omgang være kendte Twitch- og Youtube-profiler med i kampene.

The Survivor GameZ is a last-man-standing style deathmatch tournament that will take place every month in the apocalyptic world of DayZ. There are two types of Survivor GameZ events: Qualifiers and Invitationals.
Qualifier events bring together 30 contestants where every man and woman is out for themselves. The winner from the qualifier event will move on to the Invitational Main Event and invite a partner to bring with them to the arena.
The Invitational event pits some of the biggest names on Twitch and YouTube against one another in a 3-phase death-match that spans different land-spaces in the world of Chernarus. These events bring the world of competitive gaming to a whole new level of intensity.
