Harmonix har gode nyheder til dig som har en masse gamle Rock Band instrumenter liggende. Ifølge Business Insider vil Harmonix, som står bag Rock Band, forsøge at gøre alle instrumenterne fra tidligere generationer kompatible med det nyeste skud på Rock Band stammen. Og endnu bedre: det er ikke kun de gamle Rock Band kontrollere, men også kontrollerne til Guitar Hero serien. Project lead Daniel Sussman har bekræftet dette i et interview og sagde at det er det som giver mest mening ud fra en forbrugers synspunkt:
"Our position is really all about respect for our consumers and for the money that they have spent to get into the game space in the first place. They spend a fortune on games: on consoles, on hardware, and we're sensitive to that. We play those games too. We buy all the same stuff. A world where you need to have three different guitars and two drum sets and all this stuff is...we don't want to support that world."
Rock Band 4 vil udkomme til efteråret til PS4 og Xbox One, men vi mangler stadig en præcis dato.
