På trods af at NX lurer ude i horisonten, og at der ikke har været nogle livstegn under E3, kommer Zelda stadig til Wii U:
"We're here to talk about Star Fox, but Zelda is still coming to Wii U," sagde Shigeru Miyamoto via en oversætter til IGN, "so don't worry about that."
Miyamoto forklarede derefter hvorfor Zelda ikke er til stede ved E3 i år:
"My thing with E3 is that we always focus on what's coming out in the immediate future. We have some really great Zelda footage and, at some point we will be showing that off, but not today."
The Legend of Zelda Wii U vil blive vist frem på et tidspunkt næste år.
