Som du måske allerede ved, så afslørede Sony en lavere japansk pris på PlayStation 4-konsollen ved Tokyo Game Show, en besparelse på cirka €50. Det lader dog til, at denne besparelse også bevæger sig vest på - hvis altså man skal tro.. Microsoft.
I et interview med IGN, siger Xbox-chefen Phil Spencer således:
"I fully expect they [PlayStation] will drop price. When I think about the playbook they've used in the past, we feel good about the plans we have in place going forward in the holiday. If history tells, then we'll see a price drop from them coming."
Microsoft forbereder sig på efteråret, med en del store og eksklusive titler, såsom Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Forza Motorsport 6, Halo 5: Guardians og Rise of the Tomb Raider, og Spencer tror at konkurrence kun er en god ting:
"It's great for gamers when price competition happens. We saw that last holiday, and we saw crazy sales numbers on all of the consoles."
