Debuttrailerne for henholdsvis Battlefield 1 og Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare satte ild til internettet tidligere på året, men reaktionen på disse var ganske forskellig. Call of Duty traileren er lige nu en af de videoer på Youtube med flest dislikes, og det har Battlefield-udvikleren DICE's egen Patrick Bach nu kommenteret på i et interview med Metro.
Her bliver han spurgt om situationen omkring de to trailere, og han svarede:
"I don't know. It's the Internet. I agree, I think [the reception is] too polarized. It could be the... if you see a tangent of things, like how things have been, and you kind of know what the next thing will be, because you've followed the tangent, I think that that makes people p***** off. Because they want to be entertained, they want to be surprised. And if they have a chance to be upset they will be."
