10 års udvikling er meget, meget lang tid, og ligegyldig hvor meget fans har set frem til udgivelsen af The Last Guardian, ville det vel ikke have været så mærkeligt, hvis spillere verden over holdte sig fra at forudbestille.
Sådan lader det dog ikke til at være. Sonys Product Manager, Joe Palmer, har netop fortalt MCV, at antallet af forudbestillinger er del højere end forventet:
"I can't comment with specific details, but I can say that pre-orders for The Last Guardian are exceeding expectations. We've seen a really positive response to the Collector's Edition in particular, which despite its higher price point proves there's a huge appetite for the game."
