For nylig afholdte Sony en stor pressekonference ved Paris Games Week, og her viste Sony mange af deres store titler frem. Nærmest samtidig udgiver Microsoft deres nye konsol, Xbox One X, der skal forsøge at rette op på balancen imellem de to konkurrenter. Der er med andre ord lagt op til lidt af et slag, og det har Sonys europæiske chef, Jim Ryan, udtalt sig lidt om til The Telegraph.
Han pointerer først og fremmest, at hvorimod specifikationerne naturligvis er imponerende, så handler det udelukkende om spillene, og derfor mener Ryan at PlayStation vil forblive foran:
"The specs are interesting but that's all they are: specifications. The proof is in how the games look - and which games they are. You saw last night, there was a great range of games - many of which are exclusive to our platform and you will only find on a PS4 Pro, that I think allow us to feel - as I said almost three times last night - that we remain the best place to play."
