A Way Out fik for nylig endelig en udgivelsesdato ved årets Game Awards, og indtil videre ser spillet kun ud til at ankomme til PlayStation 4, Xbox One og PC. Men som Nintendo Switch bare vokser og vokser sig mere populær på verdensmarkedet, så bliver udviklere også i voksende grad nødt til at tage stilling til en potentiel Switch-version af deres spil.
Netop derfor spurgte GamingBolt spillets instruktør, Josef Fares, om en Switch-version, og han gjorde det klart at det ikke ligger i kortene for nu, men at han ikke vil udelukke det for fremtiden.
"I'm not saying it's not going to happen. But it's just that we are a small team and we're doing everything in-house, which makes it very hard for us to have the time... but I'm not saying it will never happen".
Desuden gav en ganske legitim forklaring på hvorfor en Switch-version kan blive problematisk.
"First of all, this is a third person game, which means that you need to control the camera... and on the Switch, if you want to play it on the Joycons, you can't have the camera controls, because the Switch only has one stick on each controller,"
