Selvom Nokias N-Gage ikke ligefrem er fløjet ud af starthullerne, så ser det ikke ud til at det finske firma er skuffet. Nej, faktisk er de tvært imod godt tilfredse. Forvirret?.
I USA har to store butikskæder allerede sat den håndholdte maskine ned. Både GameStop og Electronics Botique har skåret 100 dollar af prisen - og det efter kun to uger på markedet.
Alligevel er Nada Usina hos Nokia godt tilfreds:
"We are pretty pleased with the viral uptake from consumers and the feedback that we are getting, but we have a lot to do to make sure our expectations are in alignment" - "We are mixing a telecom model where typically you roll out in a couple markets and (demand) builds before its peaks and drops off, and the game market where it is 'boom' then it goes away"
John Bucher, analytiker hos Harris Nesbitt Burns sagde følgende:
"If that thing isn't a smash hit, that's OK. It will have no impact on earnings. They will take all their lessons learned and wrap it into the next one."
