Selvom det originale Secret of Mana hovedsageligt er kendt som ét af de største spil på den originale Super Nintendo-konsol, så udkommer det nye Secret of Mana: Remake ikke på hverken 3DS eller Switch. I stedet starter Square Enix med at udgive spillet til PS4, PS Vita og PC, og det sker allerede d. 15 februar.
Alligevel tyder noget på, at udviklerne bag har en interesse i at bringe spillet tilbage til en Nintendo-platform. For nylig talte Gamespot med producer Masaru Oyamada, og her sagde han at de ønsker at få spillet på Switch.
"Our development progressed in tandem with everything, and so the Switch platform was removed from our targets. That said, once we announced this title around TGS - a couple of people in Japan, but more so among North America and European players - they were requesting a Switch version. So the amount of feedback we received at that point in time was actually quite surprising. Looking to the future, figuring out and making considerations for what's possible or not, we're definitely open to that."
